Paul M. Valliant has been a professor of psychology since 1978. Initially his work focused on experimental laboratory research but after five years he became interested in sport psychology.

This transition led to research in the area of personality and its impact on sport. My personal interest in sports led to the publication of "Minor Hockey to NHL: Parents Survival Guide". My research, clinical practise and diverse interests have greatly influenced my writings.
